Picture too big or too small, check out the page size options at the top right of the page. Just set it once and forget it.
Grey Heron like to dine on fish. I believe this fish is a roach. Are there any anglers out there that can confirm?

Except for the mute swan the heron is the largest common bird in the UK. Despite their size they are extremely wary of people, I can not get within 50 yards before they spread their wings and fly away.

The water here is covered in duck weed but it did not seem to bother the heron at all

The location is the top pool within Coombe country park, Warwickshire. Coombe can boast a large heronry with around 50 breeding pairs.
