This really was an accident that started me on the route to collecting similar but non accidental examples of what I have chosen to call impressionist photographs.
Technically it is nothing more than a longish exposure with a bit of camera movement, but the moment I saw it on the camera review screen I knew I had something.
Later I remembered that quite some time ago I had read an article on Luminous Landscape about the artistic use of motion blur and I set about a little internet research.
First to luminous-landscape, always a pleasure, and the remembered article
Then to the author of the article
Alain Briot at beautiful-landscape. A very interesting site and I am looking forward to a return visit just as soon as I have time.
Next to the inspirational work of Eva Polak
And now I have my own small impressionist collection
Impressionist photographer Graham Jeffery, Hinckley UK.
