Picture too big or too small, check out the page size options at the top right of the page. Just set it once and forget it.
This really was an accident that started me on the route to collecting similar but non accidental examples of what I have chosen to call impressionist photographs.

Technically it is nothing more than a longish exposure with a bit of camera movement, but the moment I saw it on the camera review screen I knew I had something.

Later I remembered that quite some time ago I had read an article on Luminous Landscape about the artistic use of motion blur and I set about a little internet research.

First to luminous-landscape, always a pleasure, and the remembered article

Then to the author of the article Alain Briot at beautiful-landscape. A very interesting site and I am looking forward to a return visit just as soon as I have time.

Next to the inspirational work of Eva Polak

And now I have my own small impressionist collection
